Organizers of next month’s Missouri State Fair hope that two new events will contribute to telling Summer’s Best Story.

In a visit to KMMO’s studios Thursday morning, fair director Jason Moore says he’s looking forward to the addition of a drone show the first three nights of the fair.

Another new event is set for the second weekend of the fair, which will coincide with the annual Sale of Champions at the Lowell Mohler Assembly Hall.

The 122nd Missouri State Fair officially begins August 8th, with equine contests already underway this weekend and the first market livestock contest set for August 6th.
