WILLIAMSON — Williamson Hospital tested their new helipad on June 25 in preparation for reopening. Healthnet Aeromedical Services made the trial run for the hospital. “Thank you to Joey Carey and Healthnet staff for experimenting with the landing service,” Williamson Hospital said in a post. “While Williamson Memorial currently offers primary care services as well as podiatry, more will be coming soon.”
Chapmanville woman accused of running over man with truck; brakes blamed
SMOKEHOUSE FORK – A Logan County woman faces charges of malicious wounding and domestic battery after police say she hit a man with a pickup truck over the weekend. West Virginia State Police arrested Billie Jean Conley, 42, of Chapmanville after the incident which they say happened around 7 a.m. Saturday morning in the Smokehouse Fork area near Chapmanville and Harts. According to a criminal complaint filed on public record in Logan County Magistrate Court, police found the victim, Brandon Conley, 57, with a broken leg in the driveway of a residence alongside a parked Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Hurricane’s Savannah Hawkins and Kerri-Anne Cook of Oceana, West Virginia, each carded 73s in the second round at Canaan Valley Resort on Tuesday. Both shot a 77 on Monday. That leaves them tied atop the leaderboard at 6-over-par entering the final round of the tournament on Wednesday.
