County Commission raises jail bill questions
WILLIAMSON — At the Mingo County Commission meeting, the subject of the county’s jail bill was raised by County Commission President Nathan Brown. Brown discussed that for two months, the total bill for April and May was over $282,000. Brown raised the question that on July 1 when the fiscal year turns over should the county expect the allowable inmate days to roll over and the bills to start lowering based on the rates per day to house an inmate.
