The Moberly Schools Board of Education has agreed to establish stipends for two support roles in the district.

At Tuesday’s meeting, the board approved transitioning the role of district accompanist to a stipend position. Superintendent Cristina Wright explains why the change was necessary.

The accompanist stipend is $1500, while the district safety coordinator will receive a $3000 stipend. Board members also approved the support staff pay scale for the upcoming school year.

Moberly’s school board also reviewed a pair of bids for paving services. Wright says the board went with Capital Paving and Construction to handle repairs to surfaces on the district’s campuses.

Board members also reviewed attendance and food service figures from the recently concluded summer school session, and gave first reading to a series of policy revisions. The board also reaffirmed its conflict of interest and financial disclosure policy.
