UPDATE: Mobile Police identify man shot and killed outside Academy store

UPDATE (7/5 10:51 a.m.): The Mobile Police Department has identified the victim in the homicide that happened outside of Academy Sports + Outdoors on Independence Day.

22-year-old DeShaun Bonner was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, and he later died.

Mobile police have not named any suspects in their investigation.

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — The Mobile Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened Thursday afternoon outside of Academy Sports + Outdoors in the Festival Centre.

According to police, a man died after being shot “in the 4 p.m. hour.” News 5 has a crew on the scene and is working to get more information.
