PARIS (KTXL) – Erika Connolly is an Olympic medalist again.

On Saturday, Connolly helped Team USA win silver in the women’s 4×100 meter freestyle relay in Paris, France. While she didn’t compete in the final, she did compete in the qualifying heat earlier in the day. Team USA finished the race in a time of 3:30.20 to capture the silver medal.

Australia won the gold medal in a time of 3:28.92, while China won the bronze medal.

Connolly, who was born in Modesto and who used to swim for Ripon Aquatics, is competing in her second Olympic games. She also competed three years ago in Tokyo, where she won a silver medal in the 4×100 meter medley and a bronze medal in the 4×100 meter freestyle relay.

Erika Connolly is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she was a 22-time all-American and an 18-time SEC champion.
