The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down Wednesday in Fulton County. The EF0 touched down in Broadalbin at 4:41 p.m. in the backyard of Cerrero’s Cuts on Route 29. It traveled across the road and impacted a residence on the north side of the highway. It knocked down a few tree limbs and uprooted two limbs, according to NWS.

Emoji Nightmare and Katniss Everqueer, two local drag queens currently co-directing the Drag Story Hour Vermont Chapter, had launched their 2024 Rural Outreach Program from April to July with the help of the Samara Fund at the Vermont Community Foundation. Multiple charges related to drug trafficking and burglary
At about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024, the Vermont State Police was notified of a burglary at a residence on Pine Street in the town of North Troy. A trooper met with the complainants at the residence and learned a safe was removed and broken into, and a person was cashing stolen checks at a local bank. It was reported more than $30,000 in cash currency was stolen from within the safe. During subsequent investigation, Darin Farley was identified as a suspect, later located, and taken into custody for the felony offense of False Pretenses or Tokens. Farley, 36, of North Troy was transported to the Derby Barracks for processing.
