Brush fire erupts north of Prineville
A brush fire broke out Saturday afternoon about 6 miles north of Prineville that spread fast and prompted evacuations. According to an Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) report, the fire was reported around 3:30 p.m. The Cat Rock Fire burned toward the southeast and had grown to an estimated 500 acres by Saturday evening.
