    ‘Songs for a New World’ at Black Box Theatre

    Hear “Songs for a New World” at the Black Box Theatre in Moline.

    A news release from the theatre describes the show as “a collection of diverse songs, each telling a unique story. The show doesn’t follow a traditional narrative but explores a range of characters and situations, spanning time and place. The characters face pivotal moments in their lives, addressing themes of love, hope, decision-making and human experience. ‘Songs for a New World’ is an exploration of the complexities and choices that define our lives.”

    Show dates are July 11, 12, 13, 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m. The show is directed by Shelley Cooper and Kelsey Walljasper. Mitch Carter is the Music Director, along with Assistant Music Director Rob Elfline. The production stars Evan Gagliardo, Katie Griswold, Noah Hill, Noel Jean Huntley, Kaden Micklos, Jordyn Mitchell, Kira Rangel and Keenen Wilson.  Michael Kopriva, Jeff Adamson and James Driscoll provide set construction. The producer/set and costume design is by Lora Adams, with sound design by Doug Kutzli and light design by Mike Turczynski.
