It’s that time of year again.

Small Farm School is an annual, full-day event with hands-on workshops and classroom sessions at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City.

Now in its 13th year, this year’s event will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the college from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., followed by a farmer social at the Home Orchard Education Center (also at Clackamas Community College).

Registration is now open. There will be 30 sessions for beginning and experienced farmers, as well as small-acreage landowners.

Participants will learn about soil health testing and assessments, beekeeping, dry farming, cut flower production and marketing, urban farm best practices, choosing drip irrigation systems, and more.

Course selection and registration is available online at https://beav.es/smallfarmschool. For more information contact Heidi at heidi.noordijk@oregonstate.edu.

Small Farm School is organized and put on by the Oregon State University Small Farms Program, Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District, Clackamas Community College, Friends of Family Farmers, Black Food Sovereignty Coalition, Rogue Farm Corps, Zenger Farm, Natural Resource Conservation Service, and Farm Service Agency.
