A 'Night Out' that offers positivity and understanding

They came, they saw, they interacted, and in the end, the hope is everyone has a little better understanding.

That’s the goal of National Night Out, a country-wide event held the first Tuesday of August each year to bring law enforcement and the community together. In Molalla, the crowd was good, the interaction meaningful and the evening as a whole – fun.

The Molalla Police Department offers a program aimed at children’s safety, health and welfare. The night included information, games and more for those who attended at Clark Park.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
