UPDATE: Paving project on 99E slackens for fair traffic

Work along the 1.5-mile stretch of Highway 99E through Canby continues to progress. Significant progress has been made in the last month and ODOT offered an update last week.

Here’s where the project is at.

Reconstructing the right-hand lanes is occurring in sections, one direction at a time. ODOT will finish each section by paving both lanes. Minimal to no traffic impacts are planned for Aug. 13-17 during the Clackamas County Fair.

Completed paving sections:

All lanes between Berg Parkway and Elm Street.All lanes between Pine Street and Ivy Street.

Sections being paved now:

The southbound lanes from Elm Street to Ivy Street.The southbound lanes through the Pine Street intersection.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 19:

Paving the northbound lanes from Elm Street to Ivy Street.Paving the northbound lanes through the Pine Street intersection.This work is anticipated to be complete in about three weeks.
