A South Carolina man was killed over the weekend when the pickup truck he was driving crashed, officials said.

Wade Wyndham Jr., a 25-year-old Moncks Corner resident, died Saturday in what Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell called an accident.

Wyndham was driving a 2018 Toyota pickup west on U.S. 52, and near the intersection with U.S. 17 Alternate the truck ran off the right side of the road, Pye said. The pickup hit a curve and flipped over, and Wyndham died, according to Pye.

Pye said Wyndham was the only person in the pickup, and no other injuries were reported.

There was no word if Wyndham was wearing a seat belt.

Information about what caused the pickup to veer off the road was not available, but the crash continues to be investigated by the Highway Patrol and coroner’s office.
