West Liberty University Women’s Golf Team Announces 2024-25 Schedule
West Liberty, W.Va. - The West Liberty University Women's Golf Team is excited to unveil their 2024-25 schedule, featuring a mix of competitive tournaments across the region. The 2024-25 campaign kicks off with the University of Charleston Invitational, hosted at Berry Hills Country Club in Charleston, W.Va., on September 9-10.

Clemson dominates first half to shut out Mountaineers
After just three matches, West Virginia’s undefeated streak has come to a close with a 3-0 loss to the Clemson Tigers on Friday. Clemson’s three goals were the first scored on the Mountaineers and goalie Mackenzie Smith this season. Smith played all 90 minutes and recorded two saves in WVU’s season-opening win over Delaware and recorded all three of the team’s saves in 64:40 against Radford.

U92 Will Broadcast WVU Football Vs. Penn State
Morgantown, W.Va. (Aug. 24, 2024) - U92 The Moose will broadcast West Virginia University’s first home football game of the 2024 season versus Penn State on Aug. 31, 2024. West Virginia opened up against Penn State last year but fell short with a final score of 38-15. WVU finished last season with nine wins.
Two West Virginia fishermen catch record-breaking fish the same day within hours of each other
Officials say Lindell Marker of Sod, W.Va., caught a 17.36-inch black crappie at 7:30 am on August 8, surpassing the previous length record of 17.32 inches set by Craig Webb, also at Woodrum Lake. Marker’s catch tied the existing weight record of 2.85 pounds, also held by Webb. At 8:45 a.m., Dwight Priestley of Alum Creek, W.Va., caught a 17.76-inch, 3.15-pound black crappie that surpassed Marker’s shortly-held record and set new records for length and weight. Both fish were certified by WVDNR Fisheries Biologist Cory Hartman. These record-breaking crappies were caught using live minnows.
