Florida Keys Deputy Arrested for Misuse of Law Enforcement Databases

Key West, FL - A Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been arrested on 19 felony charges for allegedly misusing law enforcement databases.

Authorities say 40-year-old Jennifer Ann Ketcham is accused of accessing confidential information for personal reasons.

MCSO spokesperson Adam Linhardt said in a brief news release “Ketcham used law enforcement databases to look up information for personal reasons beyond the legal scope of her employment as a Deputy."

Authorities didn’t elaborate on the specific nature of the allegations.

Ketcham was placed on administrative leave without pay and is facing a $1.9 million bond.

The sheriff’s office is conducting an internal investigation into the matter.

Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay said on Wednesday "I am committed to keeping this community informed of significant events that occur in this agency — good and bad."
