Driver charged in deadly Swan Boat Club crash gets court date
Marshella Chidester entered a plea of not guilty during her arraignment hearing in Monroe County Circuit Court Friday morning before Judge Daniel White. MONROE COUNTY — Work continues on the 2024 Monroe County Opioid Community Assessment. This week, Monroe County administration is holding virtual focus group meetings. The work is part of the national opioid settlement. Last fall, Monroe County announced it would receive $5.5 million over 18 years as part of the settlement. All the efforts aim to create a strategic plan to combat opioid abuse in the county. Some results from the assessment are expected in the fall.
Suspects from 'very organized ring' in stolen Dodge Durango police chase spotted in Whiteford
FOX 2 (WJBK) - Photos of two suspects wanted in a dealership theft of Dodge Durangos and a subsequent high-speed pursuit in Monroe County were released by police Tuesday. The two young men are pictured from behind while walking through a house construction site Monday morning at 9:38 a.m. in Whiteford Township on Sylvania near Consear roads. The picture was taken by a builder working at the location.
