Name released in fatal Monroe Co. crash
MONROE COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - The sheriff’s office released the name of the Sparta man who was killed in a crash between his vehicle and a dump truck last week. According to a news release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, on June 11 just before 3:30 p.m., the Monroe County Communications Center was informed of a crash on State Highway 21 near Flagpole Road in the Town of Greenfield.
Monroe County releases name of Sparta man killed in June 11 head-on crash
SPARTA, Wis. – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has now released the name of a man killed on June 11 when the vehicle he was driving collided with a dump truck on State Highway 21. The man, whose name had been withheld pending notification of family was identified as 45-year-old Justin Hackett of Sparta.
County Highway F to close
County Trunk Highway (CTH) F, in the towns of Jefferson and Sheldon, in Monroe County, between CTH U and CTH T, will be closed to through traffic effective Monday, June 24th, 2023, to facilitate re-surfacing of the highway. Advance notice signs will be posted. No formal detour will be established.
