    Fun on the fourth! 4th of July events and activities across the Ark-La-Miss

    OUACHITA PARISH (KTVE/KARD) – As the days leading up to the 4th of July holiday dwindle, KTVE/KARD is keeping up with activities taking place locally and across state lines.

    This week is filled with numerous events for individuals of all ages and offers a fun activity for any and everyone. Sheila Snow with Discover Monroe-West Monroe gave KTVE/KARD a detailed breakdown of events occurring in the parish.

    It’s going to kick off with the downtown West Monroe, La fourth of July celebrations, so they’re going to get started at around eleven o’clock that day. They’re going to have food trucks, there’s going to be a kids play area that opens at four. Monie Russell will be playing around Alley Park from seven to nine.

    Events taking place across the bridge in Monroe, La, are Creative Convos at the Black Creative Circle as well as the Firecracker 5k beginning at 6 PM. Snow gave KTVE/KARD insight on when and where Monroe’s events kick off.

    In Monroe they’re going to kick things off with the downtown pub crawl from five to nine. You can also head to the Good Days block party, so Good Days is located on Art Alley, they’re going to also have some food trucks, artist, makers drinks and things like that. So that’s going to be on Art Alley from five to nine.

    Snow continued by giving details on getting the best seats for the final event that will wrap up Ouachita Parish’s event-filled week.

    Everything ends that day with a big firework celebration at nine o’clock. So the fireworks will be shot from the Endum bridge, and so you can get a great seat at the Monroe River Market, or if you want to hang out at the levy on the West Monroe side you’re going to get a front row seat for a really great show.

    For those who reside across state lines, Camden, Arkansas is set to host the largest 4th of July professional firework display at the Camden Municipal Airport. The event will begin at 6 PM and features performing artists, food trucks, and activities for children.
