Louisiana man accused of sexually assaulting 13-year-old juvenile, trafficking child & more

MONROE, La. ( KTVE/KARD )– On January 7, 2022, investigators with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office were called over to Saint Francis Medical Center in reference to a 13-year-old runaway who stated she was sexually assaulted. According to reports, the victim stated in an interview that she entered a gold two-door pickup truck at KFC on Desiard Street in Monroe, La. with an unknown Black male.

The unknown Black male was later identified as 36-year-old Johnathon Jones. The investigation revealed that on January 5, 2022, Jones allegedly transported the victim to Trichell Apartments in Monroe where he gave her alcohol to drink, marijuana laced with PCP, and had sexual intercourse with her.

According to authorities, he then allegedly transported her to Parkview Apartments where she was forced to perform oral sex on an unidentified male. The victim also had sexual intercourse with another unidentified male subject. According to authorities, both unidentified men allegedly paid Jones in drugs and $40 for the sexual acts.

He then allegedly transported the victim back to his mother’s residence located at Trichell Apartments and made the victim sniff a white powdery substance, then had sexual intercourse with her again. According to authorities, on January 6, 2022, Jones allegedly transported the victim to his newly leased apartment located on Marx Street where she stayed until the morning of January 7, 2022.

The victim stated while she was at Jones’s home she had sexual intercourse with him two more times and that Jones never used protection, and he was allegedly concerned that she might be pregnant. She also stated that on the morning of January 7, 2022, he allegedly showed her where the bus stop was, which was close to his apartment, and where to stand.

According to reports, Jones allegedly told the victim where to get off to take the transfer bus once she got downtown so that she would make it back to Desiard Street. Authorities confirmed that the victim is not from this area and has never ridden the bus before Jones allegedly provided her $6.50 for the bus fare and food.

The victim further stated that Jones was allegedly aware of her age because he saw her picture on Facebook and told her they needed to come up with a plan because she needed to go. According to authorities, the victim’s urinalysis results came back positive for PCP and Methamphetamine.

Jones was arrested on July 12, 2024, and charged with multiple counts of Trafficking Children for Sexual Purposes, Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile, and Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles.
