Monroe in Pictures: 14th Annual Wine Crawl

MONROE — In an effort to showcase the people, places and events that make this city, this county, this community so wonderful and unique, we're creating a regular Friday edition feature — Monroe in Pictures.

Every Friday you'll find images from throughout the community, captured by staff photographer, Tom Hawley, that show off the extra-ordinary happenings in and around Monroe.

This week, Hawley captured images from the 14th Annual Downtown Monroe Wine Crawl, which took place July 19. The Downtown Monroe Business Network brought the event together, and it's a good thing they did, as the crawl drew over 400 wine lovers to the area. This year's edition included 19 businesses where participants could "crawl in" to for food or wine.
