Sutton Community Home raises $1 million for renovations
SUTTON, Neb. (KSNB) - The Sutton Community Home held a groundbreaking ceremony for their addition and renovations project on Friday. The nursing home has been operating and assisting residents of the area for 60 years and has not changed since opening back in 1964. Their goal is to raise $6 million for renovations and additions to the home.
Texas man accused of motor vehicle homicide, tampering with evidence in crash that killed Nebraska man
HITCHCOCK COUNTY, Neb. — A Texas man is accused of motor vehicle homicide and tampering with evidence after a deadly crash in Nebraska. Around 6:55 a.m. Thursday, the Hitchcock County Sheriff's Department requested state troopers to assist with a fatal crash involving two semi-trucks and trailers at the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 25, the Nebraska State Patrol said.

One taken to hospital after multi-car crash in Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A three-vehicle crash happened Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Webb Road and State St. Capt. Dean Elliot of the Grand Island Police Department said a northbound vehicle was turning left onto State St. when it collided with a southbound vehicle. The collision then pushed into a third car.
Loper earns second-team Academic All-American honors
Kearney, Neb. – Redshirt sophomore heavyweight Crew Howard has earned second-team Academic All-American honors as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). The NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA At-Large Academic All-American teams were released today. Huskers add Transfers Yuzu Miyoshi, Tiziana Rossini
The Nebraska women’s tennis team continues to build its roster with the addition of sophomore transfers Yuzu Miyoshi and Tiziana Rossini for the 2024-25 season. Miyoshi competed at No. 1 singles and doubles as a freshman at Sophia University in Japan and was named the 2022 player of the year. From Kawasaki, Kagawa, Japan, Miyoshi joins the Big Red with three years of eligibility remaining. Prior to college, she competed in the Kanto Junior Tennis Championship and was named Japan Junior Tennis Tour Champions - Champion.
