Researchers handing out colon cancer test kits at DMV as part of innovative clinical trial
Earlier this year, Juanita Thomas, 63, went to her local Department of Motor Vehicles to register a car. For Thomas — a retired housekeeper, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother in Omaha, Nebraska — cancer was the last thing on her mind that day. But, while at the DMV, she was approached no fewer than three times by people offering her a free colorectal cancer screening kit.
Texas Man Arrested After Fatal Crash in Hitchcock County
JULY 19, 2024 (NORTH PLATTE, NEB.) — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested a Texas man following a fatal crash in southwest Nebraska. Thursday, at approximately 6:55 a.m. CT, the Hitchcock County Sheriff’s Department requested Troopers to assist in responding to a fatal crash that involved two semi-trucks and trailers. The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 25.
Omaha teacher to be honored at Barry Manilow concert
