Deadly car crash marks fifth traffic-related fatality for SLC in 2024
SALT LAKE CITY — A 50-year-old man died in a car accident on Saturday after police say the man lost control of his vehicle in the Glendale neighborhood and crashed. The Salt Lake City Police Department said in a press release that the crash was reported to SLC911 at 4:26 a.m. Police said they found a man trapped in a Dodge Ram, which was reported to be on its side when police arrived at the scene near 1200 West 2100 South.
Utah State Softball Adds Shelby Thompson to Coaching Staff
LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head softball coach Todd Judge announced the addition of Shelby Thompson to his coaching staff on Friday. Thompson will serve as an assistant coach. Thompson joins the Aggies after a strong playing career as a pitcher at UC San Diego. There, she made 73 appearances and 38 starts in the circle in four years from 2021-24. OGDEN, Utah — Ogden kids in need will get a backpack and school supplies thanks to a local charity giveaway event. This year, donations are down, and the need is up.
