    Monson holds annual 4th of July Summerfest

    MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) – One community in the hill towns got into some fun 4th of July festivities Thursday night which had a little of something for everybody.

    The town of Monson held their annual Summerfest this Thursday evening to celebrate America’s birthday. Attendees came out to enjoy everything from live music to a beer garden all while getting into the holiday spirit. One express to 22News that this is a beloved tradition that brings back cherished memories.

    “It brings everybody together. You get to walk down the street and see everybody you grew up with,” said Elisa Carey of Cape Cod. “Check in and have a good time.”

    The town’s fireworks display won’t take place until July 13th at the Quarry Hill Community School.
