Our state keeps applying bandaids to education. Even with the 2021 TEACH Act, teachers are losing money. Teachers average wage growth -2.7% relative to the cost of living and the average wage $48,620. Considering most teacher have earned masters degrees to raise income and they are working with large class sizes and kid that perform below grade level, the teachers are getting screwed and that is without considering benefits. In many schools, you can subtract $6000 a year for basic insurance and high deductions for retirement. It's no wonder we can recruit teachers and wait a couple more years when large numbers of baby boomers retire. The state should be proactive, but they will wait and cause more harm to our kids and public school. I can't wait for the debates to hear Busses plans. He has already promised to fix property taxes. He is looking better and better!

Greg Gianforte would love to take our attention away from high taxes, no affordable housing, and disappearing rights.
