Shooting leaves Montgomery girl with life-threatening injuries, police say

A shooting left a person that Montgomery police are describing as a juvenile female with life-threatening injuries Friday morning.

At about 2:29 a.m., police and fire medics went the 4100 block of Keating Drive after a report of a person shot, said Maj. Saba Coleman, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department. First responders found the shooting victim, who was taken to a local hospital, Coleman said.

Police did not release the victim’s age or the circumstances of the shooting.

The circumstances of the case remain under investigation, and no other information was immediately released. Police ask people with knowledge of the case to call CrimeStoppers at 334-215-STOP, the Secret Witness Line at 334-625-4000, or MPD at 334-625-2831.
