Two injured, one killed in Saturday morning Montgomery shooting

Montgomery police are investigating a fatal early Saturday morning shooting.

At 12:46 a.m., police and fire medics went to the 2600 block of Jan Drive on a report of a person shot, said Maj. Saba Coleman, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department. They found Rayonta Fuller-Anderson, 26, of Montgomery, who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead.

MPD also found a man who had who suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The circumstances of the case remain under investigation, and no other information was immediately released. Police ask people with knowledge of the case to call CrimeStoppers at 334-215-STOP, the Secret Witness Line at 334-625-4000, or MPD at 334-625-2831.
