SEHS Punter Colby Beyer Wins Competition at Florida State University Summer Camp
Stanhope Elmore High School senior punter Colby Beyer recently won a punt competition during a summer camp at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. The competition featured more than 40 punters from around the country. After winning the competition, Beyer’s father, an alumnus from Florida State, tracked down Seminole’s Head Coach Mike Norvell, for a picture with the younger Beyer.

The Firehawks brought home some hardware. The Millbrook Firehawks, an 11U All-Star baseball team, traveled down to Baton Rouge and claimed the USSSA 11U All-Star World Series last weekend. The team, which consists of CJ Jackson, Jason Thomas, Justice Gadaingan, Karson Wilson, Shawn Compton, Christian Lewis, Chase Deaton, Carter Taylor, Cam Smith, Caden Southerland and Brantley Jackson, went 6-1 in the tournament and outscored opponents 57-21.

Wendell Green Jr. leads War Ready to first-round win at 'The Basketball Tournament'
For the fourth summer in a row, a basketball team full of former Auburn Tigers will be competing in the annual “TBT” Basketball Tournament. While the team, fittingly named “War Ready”, hasn’t produced good results in tournaments past, this summer got off to a great start on Friday. Led by point guard Wendell Green Jr., War Ready picked up a win to open up the tournament by defeating the “D2 Waymakers” 80-72 in overtime.
