Montgomery County Clean-Up Day sites in Hope Hull, Pintlala now closed
The waste drop off sites at Hope Hull and Pintlala that were part of the Montgomery County Clean-Up Day program are now closed. Five other locations are still open. These are: Mount Meigs, Pike Road, Pine Level, Ramer, and Flatwood. Clean-Up Days are hosted on the last Saturday of each month except for December from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Trash can be dropped off for free.
1 dead in Montgomery County crash
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - A crash on Alabama 110 has claimed the life of a Union Springs man, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. ALEA responded to a multi-vehicle crash approximately nine miles east of Montgomery at approximately 10:15 a.m. Friday. Eugene Lysykanycz, 76, of Union Springs, was found and pronounced dead at the scene.
