MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Kan. — The Alaska State Troopers Criminal Suppression Unit (CSU) in Fairbanks, Alaska, arrested 39-year-old Levi Hart of Montgomery County who had multiple outstanding felony warrants.

Hart's warrants from Kansas include failing to appear for an original charge of distribution of opiates greater than a kilogram and possession. He also had another charge for failing to appear on a charge of interference with judicial process. His warrant carried full extradition to Kansas.

On May 7, CSU received info that a fugitive from Kansas was residing in the Fairbanks area.

CSU found Hart near the Old Steese Highway and College Road and performed a takedown in a nearby parking lot.

After a brief standoff, CSU took Hart into Custody and he was taken to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was charged with fugitive from justice and will be extradited to Kansas.
