Rockville Police Investigate Overnight Shooting
On July 20, 2024, at 1:40 a.m. Rockville City Police and Montgomery County Fire Rescue Services responded to the 1200 block of First St. for a shooting. The preliminary investigation determined an adult victim was injured after several rounds were discharged from a firearm. The victim sustained minor injury and refused medical treatment at the scene. RCPD detectives are continuing the investigation. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Cpl. Reidy at 240-314-8973 or at KReidy@RockvilleMD.Gov. Driver Extricated and Hospitalized After Crashing into Tree
A vehicle collided with a tree in the 5300 block of Wilson Lane, near Fairfax Road, in Bethesda on Friday afternoon. According to Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) Pete Piringer, the incident occurred 60-100ft off of the roadway and in the front yard of a house. One person was trapped and extricated. EMS transported one adult patient with life-threatening injuries.

Suspect detained in Rockville armed robbery
Montgomery County police responded to a report of an armed robbery in Rockville Wednesday night, July 17, 2024. The robbery was reported in the 12500 block of Village Square Terrace at 9:50 PM Wednesday. @DCNewsLive on Twitter reported that a vehicle was later pulled over by police on Old Georgetown Road at the interchange with I-495 in Bethesda. At least one person in that vehicle was detained in relation to the armed robbery.
