SPRING, Texas — Montgomery County authorities are actively investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old dead and the suspect at large. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, along with Homicide and Violent Crimes Detectives, Gang Task Force Detectives, Precinct Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, and the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, have been working tirelessly to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The victim has been identified as 19-year-old John Dennis Holmes III, of Harris County.
