The Miracle League of Dubuque is getting ready to host an all-inclusive baseball tournament next week. The tournament will be on Tuesday and begin at 10 in the morning at the Miracle League Complex in Dubuque and include teams from Dubuque and Sioux City in Iowa and also a team from South Hills, Pennsylvania. Two people shot in Iowa City, triggering UI Hawk Alert
IOWA CITY, Iowa — Iowa City Police say two people are recovering after both were shot early Saturday morning. Officers were called to the 100 block of S. Dubuque Street just before 1:00am. When they arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa volleyball program earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, the organization announced on Wednesday. The Hawkeyes have been recognized for this honor twice, previously in 2014. To obtain the honor, the team must maintain a year-long GPA of at least 3.30. Intense night of racing at Davenport Speedway
The final night of racing at Davenport Speedway before the Mississippi Valley Fair is usually an intense one, such was the case again this season. For the first time this year, the Outhouse and Storage to Go Container Rentals IMCA Late Model class had a back-to-back feature winner. Evan Miller started in the fourth row and would not see the lead until lap twenty-two of the main. Craft lovers rejoice! A new Michael's store will open in Cedar Rapids next month!. If you love crafting or your kids need materials for a school project, you head to Michaels. The location at 1470 Twixt Town Road in Marion has been open since 1993. Now, another Michael's location will be opening up on the southwest side of Cedar Rapids. The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that the new Michael's store will be located at 3500 Dalton Way SW. It will be in the same building as Ross Dress for Less in the Westdale Town Center.
