Helmer coached IU Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field from 2007 to 2022, during which time he mentored more than 50 Big Ten champions. Indianapolis Colts’ third-year tight end Jelani Woods was picked by CBS Sports as one under-the-radar player “who could shine” during the 2024 season. Woods would not see the field at all during the 2023 season as he dealt with various hamstring injuries. The year before as a rookie, he would catch 25 passes for 312 yards with three touchdowns.

MARNE -- A familiar class returned to Berlin Raceway on Saturday night, and the near-capacity crowd didn’t leave disappointed. After filing for bankruptcy, a small Arby's franchisee is selling some locations and closing others. Miracle Restaurant Group LLC, a company based out of Louisiana has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
