Louisville track and field athlete to make history by throwing discus in Paris Olympics
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jayden Ulrich will soon become the first United States Olympian in University of Louisville track and field history. The 21-year-old will compete in the women's discus throw in Paris next month. Ulrich is the second female Olympian from UofL's track and field team after Chinwe Okoro competed in the women's discus throw for Nigeria at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Pulaski County Man Arrested on Drug and False Information Charges
Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones says deputies arrested a Somerset man after he gave them a false name and social security number. Police say the information actually belonged to someone from Louisville. Deputies were called out to Breezy Hills where a man was reportedly trying to harm himself. Police found 57-year-old Kyle Wright hiding behind the entry of the open door. Deputies also found multiple plastic bags, a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, money and marijuana inside the home. Wright was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and giving an officer false identifying information. He was also charged with a failure to appear warrant out of Pulaski County Circuit Court. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Victim in deadly Lexington shooting identified
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The name of the person killed in a Lexington shooting has been released. Police say they responded around 5 a.m. Friday to the Gatehouse Apartments on Liberty Road for a report of shots fired. Police say they found a victim who had been shot in the parking of the complex.
