Community Strings Orchestra to play summer concert

MONTICELLO — The Monticello Community Strings Orchestra will be performing its 23rd Annual Summer Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at the Monticello High School Auditorium, located at 5225 School Boulevard.

With members that range from 11 to 69 years old, two different community groups — the concert orchestra and symphony orchestra — will be performing a wide variety of musical selections.

This summer, the Monticello Community Strings Orchestra will be led under the direction of Michelle Schettler-Stein and Rachel Vannett.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Central MN Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Admission is free and open to all.
