Danville, Pa. — A Danville man was killed Sunday in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Routes 54 and 642 in Montour County, police say.

Richard Heath was pronounced dead a short time after the crash occurred around 12:50 p.m. July 7, according to Trp. Jared Mowen of state police at Milton.

Heath was traveling north on Route 54 in a 2017 Hyundai Elantra and turned left onto Route 642 when his car was hit by a vehicle heading south on Route 54.

Chad Knauer, of Milton, was driving south on Route 54 in a 2008 Honda Element when Heath's car turned into his path of travel.

Heath was taken to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville where he was pronounced dead at 2:16 p.m., according to police.

    Police continue to investigate.
