Town of Big Flats Schedules Storm Debris Pickup
BIG FLATS, N.Y. (WENY) -- Following Monday night's storm, the Town of Big Flats will collect downed tree limbs on Wednesday, July 17th. Residents are asked to place all tree limbs at the curb by 6 a.m. The town will make one pass through each neighborhood, so residents are asked to make sure all of their collection is ready as there will not be a second pick-up.

Steuben County Emergency Services is responding to the severe weather event on Monday that downed trees, caused major power outages and left residents facing extreme heat. Tim Marshall, Steuben County Director of Emergency Services, said in response to the crisis, emergency services in partnership with Wegmans is offering free bottled water to ensure the well-being and safety of all county residents.

(WENY) -- With over 10,000 people in Chemung County alone without power, a number of fresh water stations have been set up on Tuesday, July 16th to help people get by. Chemung County Emergency Management has set up water distribution site in Elmira at the Southport Volunteer Fire Department located at 1001 Carl St. and the East Water Street and Dewitt Ave. Parking Lot located next to the Clarion Inn.
