VCU's men's soccer team executed a stunning comeback by scoring three goals in the last nine minutes to defeat Old Dominion 3-1 in Richmond. Hanover man dies when moped is struck in Henrico
A 72-year-old man from Hanover County died just after midnight Saturday in a two-vehicle crash on Mechanicsville Turnpike, according to Henrico Police. The crash occurred at around 12:06 a.m. near Springdale Road. A preliminary investigation indicated that Billy Chestnut was driving a moped that became disabled while it was traveling north on Mechanicsville Turnpike. A sedan, also traveling north, approached the moped from behind and changed lanes in an attempt to avoid another slow-moving vehicle but instead struck the moped and Chestnut, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
