Pulaski County woman sentenced to life behind bars for her young daughter's death
A Pulaski County woman accused of murdering her five-year-old daughter will spend the rest of her life behind bars. Shamira Buford, of Waynesville, had pleaded down in April to first-degree endangering the welfare of a child resulting in death. In exchange for her plea, three additional charges, including second-degree murder, were dismissed. Buford was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison.

Mizzou wide receiver Wease booked by MUPD for failure to appear
Starting Missouri wide receiver Theo Wease Jr. was arrested Tuesday in Boone County, according to a report released by the Boone County Sherriff’s Department. The second-year Tiger was booked by MUPD for failure to appear in court at 12:57 p.m. Tuesday, stemming from a ticket for failure to properly wear a seat belt in February in Lexington. Wease did not appear in court in March, which led to his arrest warrant being ordered in May. He was released on bond, which was set at $10. The fifth-year senior and Tigers team captain has no previous criminal record.

$150K reward offered for information about Grandview postal carrier robbery
GRANDVIEW, Mo. (KCTV) - A $150,000 reward has been offered for information about the robbery of a letter carrier in Grandview. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service says that around 12:20 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, law enforcement officials were called to the area of 134th and Bennington Ave., one block north of Little Corner Park, in Grandview with reports of a robbery.
