The Alabama State Department of Education tapped AcaSTEMics to conduct teacher professional development (PD) to over 175 school systems at the State’s annual conference. AcaSTEMics is the brainchild of Dillon native Jerome D. McQueen, PE focused on exposing students to career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The PD centered around each participant assembling their own “Magic Lamp” STEM kit and how to leverage hands-on fun into motivating students in the classroom.
