MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — The Tropical Atlantic Basin has been quiet recently after three named storms formed early in the season. A potential tropical weather maker over the Atlantic Ocean could further develop. The tropical disturbance will move west-northwest and is forecast to be in the vicinity of the Greater Antilles by late this week. As of Sunday afternoon, the National Hurricane Center had a medium formation chance posted for the potential weather maker with a 40 percent chance of formation through 7 days.

SC 16u Wins Perfect Game Gulf Coast Championship
The SC 16u Storm Chasers won the 2024 Perfect Game Gulf Coast Tournament championship in Foley, Alabama with their 9-6 win over the Kentucky Stingers. SC trailed 6-0 after 2 innings but by the fifth inning that had turned to a 7-6 lead. Kohner Depew of Vandalia drove in 4 runs for SC.
