Cyber crash causes havoc for local businesses
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — On Friday, companies from all over the world saw major outages due to a faulty update from Microsoft’s security program Crowdstrike. Grand Junction Regional Airport reported minimal impact on three out of 12 flights due to a cyber crash. Meanwhile, Denver International Airport experienced 114 flight cancellations and 692 delays.
Temporary Cool Down Before Heating Back Up
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Tomorrow begins our slight cool down for a couple of days before seeing temperatures increase again. Tomorrow and Monday will see us cool down to highs of low to mid 90s across the area. Temperatures will then begin rising again on Tuesday with highs back in the mid to upper 90s and seeing this trend continue through Friday with some spots touching 100 degrees, especially on Wednesday and Thursday.

Damage found on hospital helicopter after landing in Colorado backcountry
A Flight For Life medical helicopter was left where it landed Friday near St. Mary's Glacier after damage was found on its tail rotor. A post-landing inspection by the pilot found a bent strike tab at the end of the tail rotor blade. Strike tabs are thin pieces of metal along the framework of each main and tail rotor.
