Montville police officers reported seeing the suspect flee into the nearby woods after colliding with a guardrail and disabling his vehicle. The 30-year-old was reported to be intoxicated and possibly involved in several other evading accidents in Norwich just prior.

According to police, K9 Zedo cast off the suspect’s driver side door, finding a set of car keys next to fresh footprints not long after entering the woods.

The K9 was able to track through several backyards to find the suspect hiding inside a plywood outbuilding. Police said he was found passed out due to heavy intoxication.
