PORTLAND, Ore. — Two brothers from Oregon pleaded guilty to felony and misdemeanor charges for their role in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Jonathanpeter Allen Klein, 24, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to one count of civil disorder and one count of assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers.

PORTLAND, OR -- The U.S. Veterans Affairs Secretary is in Oregon this week, for a national VA and Department of Defense Suicide Prevention Conference. Around 2400 mental health experts and veterans advocates are meeting through Thursday at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. This is the first time the biennial conference has come to Oregon. According to U.S. Attorney Josh Hurwit, 49-year-old Sergio Cisneros-Guzman also known as Salomon Hernandez Medina, a Mexican citizen who is residing in Nampa illegally, was sentenced to 16 years in federal prison after an investigation led by the FBI-led Treasure Valley Metro Violent Crimes Task Force was found to be trafficking large amounts of methamphetamine and firearms through his landscaping business Rolling Hills Nursery.
