A recreational vehicle fire in Moorpark Tuesday spread to the adjacent house, authorities said.

The incident was reported at 5:30 p.m. in the 100 block of First Street, according to the Ventura County Fire Department. The block is in a residential area generally east of Moorpark Avenue and south of High Street and the railroad tracks.

Crews at the scene described finding the RV, which they described as a trailer, fully engulfed, with extension into the home, according to radio traffic.

The RV had been parked in the driveway of the single-family home, department officials later said on social media.

Crews said they had knocked down the fire in the trailer and the residence shortly after 5:50 p.m. The fire's spread caused moderate damage to the house, authorities said.

No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
