The Wyoming Valley Adult Baseball Association held its second annual Midsummer Classic on Saturday morning at PNC Field in Moosic. Each of the 12 teams were represented by three players.

The WVABA was formed in 2013 as an over-30 league and had four teams its first season. The league eventually allowed anyone at least 18 years-old to play and has grown to 12 teams with players from throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. The players range from 2023 graduates who played on their high school teams to the league’s oldest player at 72 years old.

Games are played Sunday mornings at Gibby Field in Wilkes-Barre, the Avoca Flats field, Covington Park in Moscow and Noakes Field in Taylor.

More information on the WVABA is available on its Facebook page .
