A former San Francisco District Attorney's Office employee, Jovan Thomas, has taken legal action against the city and his ex-employer following a controversial email incident that led to the termination of his position, as reported by East Bay Times. Thomas, previously serving as a victim advocate, mistakenly replied to an office-wide email with an inappropriate remark intended for a personal friend, which read, "what color panties you have on." According to a statement obtained by East Bay Times, he promptly apologized for the mishap. However, by the day's end, he was informed his employment was over, with details later emerging that branded his exit as a firing due to "misogynistic behavior."

Footage from a neighbor’s security camera, shared with The Standard, recorded an officer yelling “stop” before firing shots at the unidentified man as he ran down Willow Street toward Van Ness Avenue just before midnight. Eight Displaced After Apartment Fire on Clark Street in Newark, No Injuries Reported
Residents of Clark Street in Newark faced an emergency situation yesterday as the Alameda County Fire Department responded to an apartment fire. According to the Alameda County Fire Department, firefighters were called to the scene and rapidly contained the fire to the exterior patio of the involved unit. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any injuries to either the residents involved or the firefighters who responded.
