GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) - A national foundation is announcing that a protest will be held in Garfield Heights next week to denounce the brutal student violence and the school district’s failure to address the situation. Foundation officials say they’re also preparing a class-action lawsuit against school officials, on behalf of students who have been affected by that violence.

On August 8, they joined neighboring agencies and University Hospitals Tactical Medicine for active assailant training at Rushwood Elementary. Brook Park police search for woman who led them on high-speed chase
BROOK PARK, Ohio -- Police are looking for a 25-year-old Cleveland woman who, while driving with a suspended license, led them on a vehicle chase at about 3 a.m. Aug. 1. While on patrol, police noticed a Dodge Dart and a Chevrolet Spark parked on West 164th Street. They could not see inside the Dodge because the car’s windows were too darkly tinted.
Ford employee says coworker hit her with car in company parking lot in Brook Park
BROOK PARK, Ohio -- A worker at Ford Motor Co., 5600 Henry Ford Blvd., told police that a coworker had hit her with her car at about 3 p.m. July 23 in the company parking lot. The worker said she had been seeking a parking space for a second coworker. Once she found a space, she stood there to prevent anyone else from parking in the spot.
