MEDINA TWP. — Two structure fires this past weekend near Morenci are considered to have been intentionally set.

Both structures, a barn and a house, were vacant, Morenci Fire Chief Brad Lonis wrote in a Facebook post . An arson investigation has been started.

Lonis asked that anyone who lives near a vacant property to keep an eye on it and to immediately call 911 if they see anything suspicious, including unfamiliar vehicles, in the area of those buildings.

Anyone with information about the fires Saturday and Sunday is asked to call the Lenawee County Sheriff's Office at 517-263-0524 or the Morenci Fire Department at 517-458-2301.
